5 Big Return Marketing Activities

You decided that marketing to doctors is a great idea.  You joined MD Provider Services.    Now what?  Here are my top 5 high-ROI marketing activities:

1.  Add a line to your email signature file saying, “Now serving physician clients.”  Update your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles.

2. Develop a collection of high value content that doctors want.  I call them “yummy treats.”  I recommend my special e-book How to Get More Referrals.  You have my permission to add a line to the back cover that says, “A gift from …” then add your company name and contact information.

3.  Send a postcard to your mailing list, announce your physician campaign and offer your yummy treat to their doctor friends, neighbors, family and community members.  Here’s some suggested copy:

Dear        ,

I keep my eyes open for information that would interest my doctor clients.  Should you have any doctor friends, colleagues, neighbors or family members who would like to see [Your yummy treat] please invite them to contact me and I’ll send it right out.

As always, I appreciate your trust in me.

[Your yummy treat] may be:
•    A description of neighborhoods around the hospital
•    Time-saving resources
•    Physician compensation survey
•    My e-book How to Get More Referrals

4.  Send hand-written thank you notes to your top fans that regularly refer clients to you;  let them know how much you appreciate their referrals and inform them you’ve made the investment to serve doctor clients.

If you’re a financial planner, ask your clients if they would be willing to tell their story to others one-on-one.  For all others, collect and post testimonials. Written testimonials are good; video testimonials from physician clients are GREAT!
